Mock SATs exam feedback
March 7, 2008 — Mr ChittendenSo the Mock SATs are now complete. Here is your chance to give your opinion on how the tests went. Please post any feedback as follows:
1) How do you feel you got on? Why?
2) What revision techniques have you been using at home? How have they gone so far?
3) Where do you think your weaknesses are? What sort of question did you struggle on in the mocks?

Hi sir. I think that I done quite well in the tests but I struggled on a thew questions on both papers. I think I struggled on some of the questions because I found some of the topics hard to understand.
I have used Samlearning alot at home and I think that it has deffinately helped me for these tests.
I found the questions about rust quite difficault to understand, but apart from that I found the tests themselves alright. I found the first test easier than the second test.

Hi Sir.
In my mock SATs I found paper 2 harder than paper 1, I didn’t understand some of the questions on it.

However I think I did ok.
At home I have been using SAMLearning and it has made a huge impact on my work and has really helped, I like the Revision techniques and the idea of doing it on the computer, it is much easier to understand.
In the mocks I struggle on questions on the human body and reproduction.

hello there sir, overall i think i did quite well in the tests, this is because i thought using the work we did in set 1 in yr 8 an yr 7 would help me and used that and i also used the ks3 revision guides to help me. the test were actually not that difficult in my opinion. i did find that i struggled on the reproduction in humans and the subject on plant and animal cells.

hi sir
i thought the test was quit hard there were some questions that i di understand and some that i didnt understand.
i thoiuht that i didnt do well because i tried to get every question don which made me rush it.

i thought the test wasn’t that bad but i didn’t understand some questions. i struggled on the plant cell question. i thought that paper 1 was easier than paper 2. i think that doing the revision in class helped me a bit more.

i found the 2nd sats test harder than the first but i think i did alrite in both.i have been usin mock test to revise.

the first paper was easier than the second one but the revision classes have helped.

I thought paper 1 was easier than paper 2. but i didnt get the questions about human reproduction though.

i found the test comfortable but the second was alot harder than the first i answerd a question that i thought was wrong and crossed it out, only to find out it was rite if the real sats are like the mocks i think ill do ok

i thougt the tests weren’t as bad as i hought they were going to be. test 2 was harder than 1,and i stuggled on the plant stuff and there cell’s. i didn’t do any revision because i wanted to see what i was good at and bad at.

I thought the test was quite easy, but my mark didnt reflect that! so I have to learn from that for the future.

me again, using my books and the internet i found a good way to revise, although I dont think I revise long enough, so I can improve on that. I know if I take my time, think about the questions ill do alright. Bye!!!

I found the mock sats okay but i did struggle on 2 questions but i had a look on bitsize and my revsion guides and i understand it now !
